That's why if your children are minors, we design short-term and long-term children protection plans with every estate plan.  Don't let your lack of planning cause the authorities to take temporary or long-term custody of your children or to appoint an unrelated third-party (who bills hourly) to handle their financial matters in the event of your incapacity, when you die or if you’re otherwise unable to get home to them for any reason.   

The traditional billing method for lawyers is the billable hour. This model encourages inefficiency and serves to deter clients from reaching out with questions.  We charge flat-fees for our estate and business planning services and establish alternative fee arrangements for other services.  We encourage consistent communication with our clients.  With no time clock you never have to be reluctant to call with a quick (or not-so-quick) question.  This means we work effectively, efficiently and there are never any surprise bills!   

We do not have an expensive downtown office and the overhead that goes with it.  

We are a modern professional virtual-based office with a personal touch! This means we often make “house calls” or “office calls” to meet our clients where they are.  This makes the legal process as comfortable and non-intimidating as possible. We also conduct Zoom meetings.  We use modern technology  to streamline the client experience by using online forms, appointment scheduling and document signings (when appropriate) so the process is as efficient as possible.

Traditional legal services primarily prepare documents that are likely complicated and confusing. You may get a cursory explanation, which clarifies some basic things, but leaves many others unclear. But, you sign them anyway and feel relieved that you can check this task off your to-do list and don't think about it again. Years go by and your life, business and financial situation change and you never revisit your legal plan. Then when it becomes time for you to refer to the business contract or for your family to rely on those documents, it is discovered that they have become significantly outdated and not nearly as instructive or helpful as you thought. 

Although producing effective legal documents is a by-product of our service, it is not the main focus. Our intention is for you to experience a new type of legal service.
